This series was a direct continuation from the Ultimate Comics Ultimates series and the Hunger mini-series. It ran side by side with the Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand mini-series and was continued into the All-New Ultimates ongoing series, which featured an entirely different team.

Note: This volume is named per the indicia, "Ultimate Comics" is only included on the cover.
