Elric: Sailor on the Seas of Fate (1985)

Elric: Sailor on the Seas of Fate (1985)

First Comics'adaptation of the second book in Michael Moorcock's Elric saga.

Elric is faced with his biggest challenge ever! As he lies dying on the shores of an unknown region a strange ship comes for him with passengers from all across time and space. Several other incarnations of the Eternal Champions are there, but why? What could allow the laws of time and space to be broken for these incarnations to interact with each other? Could Elric learn anything from that which he used to be or that which he shall become?

Spoilers!!!

Elric is faced with Agak and Gagak, monstrous sorcerers from a dimension too far removed from our reality for most beings to comprehend. Each incarnation is given several companions to take along before entering a massive double-tower structure in which they find their respective opponents. Eventually, the groups come to the understanding that these are not towers but living beings! It's then that the incarnations of the Eternal Champions fuse to form a single massive entity resembling a Hindu god with four faces, four arms, and four legs. Using a massive version of their combined weapons they slice through a horde of demons to kill Agak and then Gagak.

However, the troubles don’t end there. The ship commander, a blind man, tells Elric he is no longer able to ride and must get off on a mysterious island that seems to be located in another plane of existence with a purple sun and another mysterious Melnibonian noble.
