In 1990, DC Comics became the latest publisher to print the stories of Max Allan Collins' creation Ms. Tree in a large quarterly issue format.
Unlike previous Ms. Tree publications, each of these quarterly issues included a complete Ms. Tree adventure in full color. The series also featured covers from popular artists such as Denys Cowan, Bill Sienkiewicz and Mike Grell.
There also included back-up features, notably a Midnight (a new version by the name of Robert Avery) feature from Ed Gorman and a text based feature, including a Denny O'Neil written Batman story in the first issue.
The last two issues were renamed as Ms. Tree Special and removed the back-up features.
