Four plucky lads do their all to help America during the war, mainly by fighting Black Satan "Arch-Enemy of America" who even though he walks around every day dressed in a skin-tight black outfit and sporting two devil horns the grown-up never seen to figure out he's up to no good, good thing the Four Comrades are there to defeat him again and again and again. 
 
At first dressed like everyday kids after a few adventures they done matching red and blue costumes. 
 
Disappearing after the war they return years later in the pages of Tom Strong, with one of them it seems having had a sex change.
