Brief History

S.T.A.R.S. is an organization set up by Val Cooper under the Commission on Superhuman Activities supervision. The team S.T.A.R.S. was created as a police force to counter superhuman threats in the United States of America. The Commission selected John Walker, better known as U.S.Agent to be their representative and marshal. The organization first came to the scene during the events of Maximum Security. While U.S.Agent was bringing in a superhuman criminal on the run from the law, he and S.T.A.R.S. where asked to help defend the earth when it was condemed by the alien Kree to become a prison planet for intergalactic space criminals. U.S.Agent played a major role in this event and was eventually succesfull in defeating the alien invasion. The organisation was seen again when U.S.Agent did various missions for it, bringing in many supercriminals on the run from the law. U.S.Agent left the organisation a few months later to join the New Invaders and S.T.A.R.S. has not been seen since.
