Forming a Team

Against the Reavers
Against the Reavers

Not soon after the team was formed, the got into a battle against the mutant hunting mercenaries known as the Reavers. The Reavers had a mission to kill all the remaining Morlocks whom still lived after the Mutant Massacre and track down Wolverine. Thinking Muir Island was the place to start their search, the Reavers assaulted the island. The team whent into action to defend Muir Island and it's inhabitants. They succeeded, but with great losses. During the battle, fellow team-member (and son of Charles Xavier) named Legion became inhabited by one of his evil personas. When the Reavers attacked Morlock children, Sunder managed to get them all away before they where harmed, mainly because of a telekinetic shield Legion held up to stop the bullets. But the moment all the children where away, Legion dropped the shield. With no way for Sunder to shield himself for the bullets of the Reavers, he was shot in the back and apparently killed. After this, Legion resumed his way to the mutant woman named Destiny, former member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, and close friend to mutant terrorist Mystique. He killed her as well. The team managed to defeat the Reavers and save the children, but not without a large toll to pay. Team-members had died, and Legion had become insane.

The problems for the Muir Island X-men were, however, far from over. It would be revealed that Lorna's gained strength and size came from absorbing the negative emotions of those around her. The Shadow King would discover this and set Lorna up as his nexus between the astral plane and real world. This caused the whole world to grow angry and violent. Eventually, during the Muir Island Saga X-Factor and the X-Men would save her from Shadow King’s control using a stab to the head from Psylocke's psychic knife. After this, and finding out that the X-men where still alive, the team disbanded and its members joined other groups.

Where did they go

Polaris, Madrox, Guido, and Val Cooper joined the new X-Factor, Siryn joined the X-Force, Moria remained on Muir Island, as well as Legion, but he ended up in a coma. Banshee returned to the X-Men for some time, Sunder was burried, Amanda Sefton returned to Limbo, Tom Corsi also returned to the X-Men, as a staff member to Generation X for some time. Sharon Friedlander also returned to Xavier's for some time but soon went away to start a normal life again. She was killed some years later by Magneto's Accolytes.
