The Legion of Light was a religious organization led by Brother Power and his wife Sha-Shan as Sister Sun. The followers of the Legion of Light would spurn worldly possessions and heed the message that light and love was power. Brother Power and Sister Sun would come into conflict with Spider Man during one of their ceremonies in Central Park after Flash Thompson discovered that Sister Sun was Sha-Shan.

Creation

The Legion of Light was created by Bill Mantlo, Sal Buscema and Mike Esposito in 1977 and first appeared in Spectacular Spider-Man # 12.
