Origin

Star Trek Canon Special Note

Not everything listed in the origin is Canon. That is because only television shows and movies are considered canon for Star Trek. This being a comic website there are many things here that are not canon. So unless it is contradicted in film it should be listed as part of the team origin.

Original officers of the U.S.S. Enterprise James Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy, Montgomery Scott, Hikaru Sulu, Nyota Uhura, and Pavel Chekov were the chief crew of the Enterprise A. The Enterprise A was commissioned in 2286 to replace the original Enterprise which the crew auto-destructed with a Klingon search team aboard while rescuing Spock from the Genesis Planet during Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

Major Story Arcs

Early Voyages

In a major story arch in Star Trek: Early Voyages the crew is different, as things were changed in the timeline due to the disappearance of a simple yeoman named Mia Colt. Only three of the seven main officers were part of the crew. They were Uhura, Spock, and Sulu. In this universe Kirk and Scott were members of a cargo ship called the Bounty and Chekov was serving aboard the U.S.S. Excelsior.

Where McCoy was in this universe is unknown. New crewmembers were Captain Christopher Pike, Jose Tyler, Gabrielle Carlotti and Saavik. Fortunately, everything is set back to normal when Colt is returned to her timeline.
