In an alternate time line yeoman Mia Colt was launched into the future. In this Future James Kirk and Montgomery Scott are Captain and Engineer on a cargo ship called the Bounty. this is due all to the disappearance of Mia Colt. The crew are killed trying to get Mia back into the past including Scott who is killed in front of his wife.
