Brief History
The Black Hole, Sitting Bullseye, The Spanker, and Tillie the Hun were organized by Doctor Angst to assassinate US Presidential candidate Howard the Duck. Doctor Angst falsely promised them power in exchange for their loyalty. Attacking Howard in the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Defenders sprang into action. The Defenders made short work of the inept troupe in a widely viewed battle at Shea Stadium. Years later, Doctor Angst reorganized the Band to assist him in attempting the Cosmic Squish to create a new universe. The swift actions of the sensational She-Hulk and their old nemesis, Howard the Duck, led to another failure spearheaded by the Band of the Bland.
