Duel Monsters
Monsters from the Yugioh card game. In the Yugioh anime and manga, the duel monsters represent the card as a monster spirit from a different world.
In ancient Egypt the sorcerers had a way to power the spirit in order to summon beasts that represented the inner strength of the summoner. These monsters became the basis for the Egyptian shadow games which would then inspire Maximillion Pegasus in modern times to make the duel monsters card game. Unbeknownst to most those who wield a Millennium Item can use the card game as a basis for a shadow game.
