All vampires are spawn of Lilith, the dark mother. But not all vampires are sired by the same demon, hence the different breeds and variations. Perhaps one of the most extreme variations are the Krasue, which dwell in Southeast Asia. During the day, they appear as any other human woman. But at night, they undergo a most horrific transformation, manifesting as a flying head with a mass of entrails (including the heart). Possessing an irresistible hunger, the Krasue haunts the jungles in search prey, feeding on everything from wild pigs to tigers. But its favorite meal is a human baby, especially newborns, as it renews their life-force. The fact that more and more women are having their babies in hospitals and clinics, put the Krasue on the endangered species list.
