The Circle was a group of mutated beigns who had lived in Qurac for millenia. When Superman appeared their leader, Prana, thought he could be one of them, specially the one called the Lost one. Trying to reach Superman's mind, however, Prana lost his life. His wive, in grief, swear revenge against him and send several members against him, without success. Finally, the Circle, with the help of Superman, left the earth, without never discover if the lost one still was hiding among the humans.
