Origin

Captives of N.O.W.H.E.R.E., Ravagers is a term used for elite young N.O.W.H.E.R.E. operatives who survive a brutal test known as the Culling, a "only the strongest survive" type of event where N.O.W.H.E.R.E. pits their captured metahumans against each other, then using the survivors to work for them. This particular group managed to band together, and escape from N.O.W.H.E.R.E.'s base known as the Colony, and are now trying to survive in the outside world.

Creation

The Ravagers were created as a spin-off team from the Culling crossover held between Teen Titans, Superboy and Legion Lost. They later appeared in their own book, The Ravagers, written by Howard Mackie and illustrated by Ian Churchill.

Team Evolution

Originally, a winner of the Culling would become a member of Harvest's personal army - The Ravagers. Past winners include of the following:

agents of NOWHERE
agents of NOWHERE
  • Shadow Walker
  • Omen
  • Leash
  • Warblade
  • Templar
  • Centerhall
  • Rose Wilson
  • Fuji
  • Crush
  • Misbelief
  • Hammersmith
  • Windsto
  • Psykill
  • Ridge

The new Ravagers consists of Fairchild, a former N.O.W.H.E.R.E. scientist who hid her metahuman abilities until a confrontation with Superboy. Joining her is Beast Boy, a young hero who can change into any animal form he wants (and whose color change to red has something to do with the Red), a brother-sister duo of Thunder and Lightning, a monstrous-looking Ridge, and a new version of Terra.

Current Events

After escaping from the Colony, a number of the Ravagers, such as Beast Boy, Terra, Windshear, and Bright Eyes went their separate ways while the remainder attacked a N.O.W.H.E.R.E. security detail that showed up. Caitlin managed to pull them off just as Warblade and Rose arrived. They managed to escape when Thunder blasted away a portion of the cliff they were on. They managed to float to Seattle where they temporarily split ways before uniting when Shadow Walker kidnapped Thunder.

Recently, they were bathing in a stream when they were attacked by acolytes of Brother Blood who later showed up to heal Lightning. However, in the next scene, he seems to be putting Thunder through agrony.
