In the 30th century the Orandans hail from the planet Orando where a medieval feudal system still reigns the land. Not trusting outsiders the royal member called Princess Projectra is a representative in the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Creation

The introduction of Orandans was in the pages of Adventure Comics #362, November, 1967. They were created by Jim Shooter and Pete Costanza.

History

The people of Orando

The natives of the planet Orando the Orandans have had the same feudal system and level of technology in comparison to denizens of Earth's Europeans during the Dark Ages in histories timeline.

Even now in the 31st century the Orandans still practice a mix of magical and divine faith driven belief system. Ancient are the ways of the Orandans who hold the natural world and its mysterious secrets with national respect.

There are even a few natives with magical aptitude who take exclusive positions as part of the Royal Families court. Members of the Royal Family itself have also shown magical abilities such as Hagga who once was the Sorceress Royal, Sensor Girl the current Queen of Orando with illusion casting powers, and her cousin Pharoxx also with mystical abilities.

Notable Orandans

Queen Projectra: A member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and the only Orandan with ties to the outside world Queen Wilimena Morgana Daregina Annaxandra Projectra Velorya is the Royal empress of Orando. With the power to project realistic illusions and sense reality in its various illusions she goes by Sensor Girl in her role as a Legionnaire.

Hagga: Grandmother to both Queen Projectra and Pharoxx the mighty old sorceress taught both the arts of magic. Hagga had attempted to overturn the rule of Projectra however she was stopped by the Legion.

Pharoxx: The cousin to Queen Projectra he along with Hagga attempted to conquer Projectra and kill her consort the Karate Kid. Loosing the battle to Projectra and the rest of her Legion teamates.
