Creation

The characters that made up the League of Super Assassins were first introduced in the series by DC Comics Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #253, Night of the Super-Assassins! The team was created by Gerry Conway and Joe Staton.

History

Original Continuity: New Earth

When the planet Dryad was destroyed by a super-nova in the latter half of the 30th Century, six super powered survivors were convinced by the villainous Dark Man that the Legion of Super Heroes was responsible. In fact the Legion had saved most of Dryad's population in an evacuation, but their role was distorted by the Dark Man, and the 6 survivors set out on a path of vengeance.

After the facts were revealed, one of the 6, a sentient creature known as Blok joined the Legion. The other 5 continued to pursue a life of crime without the guidance of the Dark Man, acting individually or as the League of Super Assassins, or occasionally as members of other groups such as the Legion of Super Villains. The other 5 members of the team were; Silver Slasher, Lazon, Titania, Neutrax and Mist Master.

Known Members

Blok: The only true native of Dryad Blok is a dense silicon based lifeform with superhuman strength and invulnerability. He is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes now joining the very reason the team of fellow Dryad youths formed the Assassins.

Titania: The giantess and strong-arm of the group. Titania is as dense as her near invulnerable skin is. She is an alpha figure in the team barking orders and bullying anyone that crosses her.

Lazon: A true child of the sun able to travel at speeds of light itself. However no light shines inside as he is a dark, shrewd and pompous criminal.

Neutrax: The brains behind the brawn of his teammates Neutrax is both a master planner and a cold calculating murderer. Able to shoot beams which can neutralize the powers of any enemy.

Mist Master: Thought to be the most powerful member of the team Mist Master can transform into a poisoners gas. Sneaky and and voyeuristic with his prey he relishes in the act of slowing poisoning his enemies.

Silver Slasher: The most sadistic of the team she was transformed into a metal killing machine and enjoying every moment.
