History
The first ship of its class, which was designed solely to fight major threats such as the Borg. In 2375, the Breen destroy the USS Defiant during the Second Battle of Chintara. The lost ship is replaced by the USS Sao Paulo which is quickly renamed the USS Defiant-A.
