Tom Veitch was a writer who is probably best known for his work he did in the early 90's for Dark Horse Comics. Tom was the writer on Star Wars: Dark Empire. Dark Empire was instrumental in starting a resurgence of Star Wars material and starting what has since become known as the Expanded Universe. Dark Empire along with Timothy Zahn's "Thrawn Trilogy," which consisted of Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command, ushered in a era of Star War's novels, comics, toys and games which revitalized old fans and brought in many new ones. Tom's other work for Dark Horse included Dark Empire II, Empire's End, Tales of the Jedi, and Tales of the Jedi: Freedon Nadd Uprising, Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith.
Tom has also done work on various underground comics, written for DC and Marvel, as well as write some novellas and books.
