Tex Blaisdell started in comics in the late 40s working for Centaur, Ace, Novelty, Avon and DC comics, while at the same time co-creating such characters as Dan Tayler, Boy Detective and others.
He became the artist for Little Orphan Annie from 1968-1973 after the death of the strips creator Harold Gray.
In the 60s, 70s, & 80s he worked mainly for DC as an inker.
