Ringgenberg has written comic book scripts for D.C.: Weird War, House of Mystery, Robin 3000 miniseries, etc. For Marvel, wrote for Moon Knight, Savage Sword of Conan, What if...? For Red Circle wrote scripts for The Black Hood, For Heavy Metal have written comics scripts, reviews, interviews and articles during the mid-80s and again since 1999 as the regular columnist for Dossier.

Many other articles and interviews for The Comics Journal, Gauntlet, The Betty Pages, and many others. Ringgenberg was one of the contributing writers on Al Williamson: HIdden Lands, and has contributed extensively to the notes for Russ Cochran's E.C. Library reprint set.
