Mark Waid is an American writer, considered to be one of the most influential writers of the 1990s. His expansive works includes The Flash, JLA, and Kingdom Come for DC and Captain America for Marvel. He is currently writing Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Shazam, and Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor for DC.

Current Work

With the All New, All Different Marvel relaunch, Mark Waid is writing All New, All Different Avengers. For Archie Comics, he is writing Archie and The Fox. For Thrillbent he is writing Insufferable and Empire: Uprising, both of which are published in print by IDW.

Past Work

Mark Waid wrote and edited many of DC's flagship titles, including Flash, Action Comics, JLA and Legion of Super-Heroes, as well as primary Marvel titles, such as X-Men, Avengers and Fantastic Four. He was also the writer of the acclaimed series, Kingdom Come. Waid helped to create the "Speed Force," which members of the Flash mantle in the DC universe rely on for speed and power. Waid is also the co-creator of Bart Allen.
