Born in Stalowa Wola (Poland) on August 3, 1941, he discovers comics - at a time when this medium was almost non-existent in the countries of the former Eastern bloc - through Vaillant magazine, edited by the French Communist Party At the age of 16 he already made his first comics. In 1966, after graduating from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, he made his professional debut as a book illustrator and record carrier. From 1968 he published comics in the magazine Relax, of which he would become artistic director, and collaborated in the police series Kapitan Zbik, created by Zbigniew Gabinski, very popular in his native country.

In 1976 he met the writers André-Paul Duchâteau and Jean Van Hamme in Brussels, which turned his career around. Establishing himself in this capital, he publishes in the two great Belgian youth weekly, Spirou and Tintin.

His time in the first will be brief, under the pseudonym Rosek, making the series of complete episodes La croisière fantastique in semi-humorous style, with a script by Mythic, and a couple of collaborations for his ephemeral supplement Le Trombone Illustré. He starts publishing short stories in Spirou magazine

Instead, for Tintin, he will make a much longer and more prosperous career, launching in 1977, after some short stories, Thorgal's first adventure with a script by Van Hamme. The saga of this young Viking warrior, a descendant of a race from the stars has continued successfully -even after the closure of Tintin- its publication to date with more than 27 albums appeared to date, remains one of the best-sellers of the francophone cartoon market. He collaborates with Van Hamme, Mythic, Moebius, Dufaux, Derib, Hausman, Follet and recently with Sente.

In 1980, Rosinski created another character for Tintin, with a plots by Duchâteau and a science-fiction theme: Hans, who would yield six years later to another compatriot cartoonist, Kas. Again with Van Hamme, in 1987 he made the heroic fantasy graphic novel Le Grand Pouvoir du Chninkel (The Great Power of the Chninkel), which initially appeared in À suivre. Within the same genre, and with a script by Jean Dufaux, he produced Complaintes des Landes Perdues (The Ballad of the Lost Landes) for Dargaud, focused on Celtic mythology, from which four albums would appear, later collected in one volume.

In 2001 he teamed up once again with Van Hamme with the Western single album. Rosinski, currently residing in Switzerland, has received numerous awards for his work, and has done other graphic work in addition to the comic, including the production of a series of stamps for Belgian postal services. Other works by Rosinski include La Vengeance du Comte Skarbek.

Since the beginning of the 2000's, he has changed his way of working in an interesting way. He gives up the classic system of first drawing with a pencil, then adding ink and oulines. Now he makes the whole thing directly, mixing various techniques, and every frame is like a painting. Apparently, the excitment of this new way of working renews his commitment to Thorgal and keeps him from giving up the series after 30 years.
