Personal Life
George Freeman was born in Selkirk, Manitoba. He attended Red River College in Winnipeg, and graduated to become a graphics artist. He was approached by Richard Comely, the writer/artist creator of Captain Canuck to help with inking the series. Freeman's inks were so nuanced and brilliant that Comely let him assume the penciling chores as of the second issue. Freeman would remain the artist for the entire 15 issues of the series.
