In 1971 Neal Adams and Dick Giordano joined forces once again-- hot off their successful collaboration on the artwork for DC's newly "relevant" Green Lantern/Green Arrow Comic book, to found Continuity Associates.

CA served early on as a packager of comic books for various publishers, including Charlton, where Giordano had once been Executive Editor, and Marvel. And early on into advertising art, including the lucrative world of design, concepting and storyboarding, as well as conceptual design for motion pictures and the occasional self-published title (under their Continuity Comics imprint) and character (including the moderately well-known Ms. Mystic and space-opera bunny Bucky O'Hare).

A huge number of young up-and-coming talents in the comics field worked at Continuity (not all of whom emulated Adams' multilinear, lightly-lined style so unfortunately later aped by the likes of the Image Comics founders) including Michael Golden, Howard Chaykin, Val Mayerik, Jim Starlin, Al Milgrom, Larry Hama, Walt Simonson, Bob Wiacek, and others. Often the studio would collectively ink a job, signing the work "Crusty Bunkers."

The organization later changed its name to Continuity Studios and remains in business today.
