There are two versions of the Monarch armor:
The first armor was worn by Hank Hall ( or his future self rather) and was built with advanced technology, that makes the suit highly durable. It is also used to shoot positronic charges from the eyes and gloves and also had a teleportation device.
The second Armor was worn by Captain Atom with a nanowave design to contain radiation leakage from the chest. It also measures vital signs. It was ripped open by Superboy Prime causing a cataclysmic event.
