In an attempt to protect the Earth from travelling Highborns, the Council of the Five Realms decided to destroy the remaining portals between the five realms (Earth, Neverland, Wonderland, Oz and Myst). Sela's fairy tale book was one of those portals. It fell upon Nissa to create a weapon powerful enough to destroy the book. Seeing as no single sword could do the deed, she used her powers to combine four of the most powerful swords (Excalibur, Kusanagi, Mistilteinn and Chrysaor) into one. This one she called Lysraseri, 'The Light's Rage'.

Each of the gems respresents one of the original swords and the power it brings.

• The green gem is for the Kusanagi and heals its wielder.
• The blue gem is for Mistilteinn and makes the sword appear whenever it is needed.
• The gold gem is for Chrysaor and his the ability to purify.
• The red gem is for Excalibur and taps into the inextinguishable flames.
