These discs were created by the Guardians of the Universe for the secret unit of the Green Lantern Corps known as The Corpse. Upon swallowing one it grants the user the abilities of a Green Lantern Ring for a short period of time. Once the power wears off it the operative can not be tracked back to Oa, like a power ring would. While using a Corpse Disc, the user wears an all black jumpsuit and wields a purple light instead of green. R'amey Holl, Guy Gardner and Von Daggle all use the Discs on their mission.
