The green is more than a physical place, a parallel dimension in which resides the plant elementals, such as the Parliament of Trees and where all the vegetation of the world is connected.
During the events on The Saga of The Swamp Thing #22 and #23, The Swamp Thing and The Floronic Man visits this dimension, in which they seem to be able to connect and even feel all the vegetation.
The Green is countered by The Rot (death) and The Red (animal life). Its main champion is Allec Hollad.
