The Legion battles the Progenitor, who is also Element Lad, to prevent him from advancing his agenda with his Progeny. The Progenitor reveals that he intends to send the Omniphagos to the rest of the galaxy to destroy everything he believes he created. Saturn Girl is able to use her telepathy to stop the Progenitor for some time while the rest of the Legion tries to stop the technology that allows the Progeny and Omniphagos from transporting to the other side of the galaxy. The team realizes they can make it back home, but someone must destroy the transport after they leave. Live Wire decides to stay behind without telling anyone, sacrificing himself so his team can make it home.
