Marigold Flimflam is the housekeeper for Lord Gaylord. She lives on Pillbox and is well-loved but paranoid about her health. She is a wonderful baker.

Along with the rest of Gaylord's family and friends, like Mr. Dimhoffer and Marigold's niece Bettina, she happily adopts Moonshadow into their group.

She and Bettina are at the market when Gaylord's home explodes and kills Dimhoffer and (possibly) Gaylord. The explosion was originally believed to be an accidental byproduct of Gaylord's experiments, but was actually instigated by Pobidiah Unkshuss. She then lives with Bettina and their neighbors for some time. Moonshadow can't accept the tragedy, refuses to go to the funeral, and leaves.

Many year later Moonshadow comes back and lives on Pillbox as an anonymous tinker. However, Bettina and Marigold recognize him, and Marigold eventually makes Moon admit who he is. Moon and Bettina marry. Marigold loves watching their kids put on plays. Some years later she dies in front of them right before one of their plays. Moon once again refuses to go to the funeral.

Note: Bettina's aunt is always referred to as "Mrs. Flimflam" in Moonshadow, and is always referred to as "Aunt Marigold" in Farewell Moonshadow. Since Bettina is an orphan and she is never described as having any other family other than one aunt, presumably Marigold is simply her first name and Flimflam is her last name.
