John Lennon
John Lennon was the rhythm guitarist and singer for the legendary Beatles. He would go on to have an amazing solo career after there breakup. Regarded as one of the greatest and most soulful male singers of all time his influence is still strong even today.

Brief History
John Lennon was born in Liverpool on October 8, 1940. He first formed a band with schoolmates in 1956, which would become the Beatles in 1960. In particular he is known for writing songs with band-mate Paul McCartney. He married Cynthia Powell on August 23, 1962, but they divorced in 1968.
In 1965-66, Lennon met and began a relationship with Yoko Ono. They would work on multiple projects together, many protesting the Vietnam War. The two married on March 20, 1969. Lennon left the Beatles to release his first solo album in 1970.
Lennon died on December 8, 1980. He was shot by Mark David Chapman.
