American Crooner, famous for the many ballads and standards that he sang, including "My Way" and "Fly Me to the Moon"

He also appeared in several movies including the original "Ocean's Eleven" He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of a drug fiend in "The Man with the Golden Arm." He also won a Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in  "From Here to Eternity."

He was married four times, most famously to Ava Gardner and then Mia Farrow.
He has three children, two daughters Nancy, Tina and a son Frank Jr.

The Epitaph on his gravestone reads "The Best is Yet to Come." A line from the song "Young at Heart"

He also led the "Rat Pack" a tight knit group of entertainers, including Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. They often worked together and hung out with one another off stage. During the shooting of "Ocean's Eleven" the rat pack would headline at the Sands Hotel and Casino, as much for themselves as for the audiences amusement.
