Origin

Little is known about the Lilitu known as Akasha. She and her sisters Atraria, aka Nighevil and Patrika are all said to be centuries old, possibly being around since or even before Biblical times. While her sisters are either indifferent or hate humanity, Akasha takes a keen interest in humanity, watching humans with amusement.

Akasha first showed up in America around the 1800s along with her sister Atraria. Having the appearance of black women made it hard for them to travel and live among people. If found they were usually thought to be runaway slaves. Bounty hunters would usually be killed trying to bring them back to their assumed masters as they were no match for her magic and Nightevil's violent rage. If they did live through a battle with her and Nightevil they would run into Patrika, who having the appearance of a white woman, they assumed would be an ally to their cause. She would simply eat them.

Sometimes Akasha and Nightevil would let themselves be captured and taken to a plantation. Slaves would suddenly die or disappear one by one and finally the slaves owners. While Akasha and Nightevil would occasionally eat flesh they preferred soul energy. Patrika would usually kill and eat the owners while Nightevil takeover and run the plantation, Akasha would act as an administrator and when needed Patrika would act as the plantation owner.

Akasha and her sisters are all incredibly rich from wealth they’ve laid claim to over the years from plantations, claim jumping during the gold rush, locating buried treasure and simply taking the money from those that crossed them. As time went on and the speed of information and image processing became faster, it became harder to stay hidden so they went back to night hunting. They have a lot land and usually choose to stay within their walls in the day. Unlike Patrika, Akasha doesn’t hunt. She can move about during the day and spends her time learning, pouring over text, TV and the internet. She is also in charge of the Sisterhood's vast library and keeps track of threats to the Sisterhood.

Powers and Abilities

As with all Lilitu Akasha is a magic adept. She has many powers including basic spell casting, ritual magic, black magic, incantations and is proficient in most forms of magic. She can focus mystical energy into a concussive bolt, blast or shield, astral travel, move through dimensions, speak and understand any language, communicate with animals and even the dead.

Akasha also has a high level of cosmic awareness even moreso than her sister Nightevil and a precognitive danger sense allowing her to actually see different timelines and outcomes based on proposed actions. Like others her danger sense usually kicks in seconds before the danger, but if she’s focused before going into a situation it can be triggered minutes ahead a bad situation. If things get too bad she can simply fly off into the night (or day). Akasha also has dark force manipulation meaning she can tap into the power of darkness and use it for various purposes including hexes and curses.

Akasha is a skilled fighter mastering several martial arts including Greco-Roman wrestling, Gladius swordfighting, Dambe, Senegalese Laamb, several forms of Kung-fu, Shōrin-ryū Karate, Iron Body, Savate, Escrima and Western Boxing. Her super strength and agility aids her skills, immensely. She can also bare claws and fangs when needed and she has a supernatural healing factor and can cast illusions as diversions. With all that, Akasha rarely fights unless needed.
