Torbert Octavius was a construction worker whose son is Otto Octavius.
Torbert was very unsupportive of his son and his brilliance. He often yelled at Otto to defend himself from bullies and that "a man is measured by his strength and power." He thought of his son as a wimp.
Torbert was killed in a construction accident when Otto was a freshman in college.
Torbert is named Theodore in Spectacular Spider-Man.
