Seraph was a cyborg operative working for Biotek. He was based on the Deathlok technology. When Henry Hayes, AKA "Mustang" the primary Deathlok operative went rogue, Seraph was sent to bring him in. As they fought, Hayes called Seraph a slave, which enraged him Seraph rationalized that he had more autonomy and free will than Hayes, but Hayes believed him to be going through the motions. Hayes impaled Seraph, who called for backup, but Biotek decided to abandon him. Hayes made a final appeal to Seraph's humanity, and Seraph, betrayed and able to be free and human, told Hayes the coordinates to Biotek's base, before the cyborg died from his injuries.
