Scalpel
An underworld surgeon and mutant, the Scalpel acted as a freelance doctor for the criminals of New York City. Where he got his training from is unknown but it proved invaluable for the Thunderbolts during the Purple Man's attack on the city.

Scalpel was a long standing underworld doctor who used his mutant ability to heal injured criminals on the run. He claims responsibility for helping Atlas recover from wounds he received in a battle with Luke Cage over the rites to call himself 'Power Man'. He also patched up Abner Jenkins many times in his criminal career as the Beetle who was described as being a whiner by the doctor.
Scalpel would be among the few superhumans in New York who wasn't affected by the mind controlling chemicals that the Purple Man introduced into the cities water supply. After MACH IV was stabbed through the chest by the Swordsman he went to Scalpel for medical assistance. Scalpel also allowed Speed Demon to use his lab to synthesize an anti toxin to Purple Man's mind controlling chemical.
