Creation

Raul Quentino was created by Gregory Wright and Steven Butler in 1992 and first appeared in Silver Sable & The Wild Pack # 5.

Biography

Raul Quentino grew up on the mean streets of L.A., and was involved in youth gangs at a young age. During his teenage years he became a successful criminal, particularly skilled with electronics. He dealt in bootleg radios and other tech, with his talents earning him the nickname "G-Wiz" short for "gangster wizard." He developed a mutual respect with rival gang member Larry Arnold. Unfortunately he also developed a drug habit, becoming addicted to heroin.

He managed to get out of the gang life, finding employment as a mercenary for Silver Sable International. He was primarily employed for his skills as a coms officer and pilot, but was a capable combatant as well. He was assigned to Sable's "A-Team," and served as a core member of the Wild Pack on missions against the Foreigner, The Genesis Coalition, and Justin Hammer, among others. However, his heroic addiction had left him with AIDS, and his condition forced him to retire. Saying goodbye to his teammates, he recommended his old rival Larry Arnold to fill his empty slot.

Abilities

Raul was gifted in electronics, particularly radio communication and was capable of creating impromptu inventions on the fly. He was the A-Team's designated pilot. Although not the most skilled fighter of the group, he was a competent fighter with firearms and close-quarters training.
