Ed "Poppa" Wheelie was a former drag racing champion before retiring, marrying Wide Load Annie, and opening the Short Stop. He was a skilled mechanic but would often relegate himself to the background when it came time to fight. Poppa Wheelie often served as the voice of reason for his more hot-headed wife.
