When he was a kid, Michael's hamster died. But when it miraculously came back to life, Michael discovered he had some type of raw control over magic. After finishing college, Michael was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. until he abandoned the organization in hopes to restore his country, which he believed was on the border of chaos.
He soon starts on the path to redemption; the earliest example is when he agrees to become a prisoner to ensure the safety of two innocent people.
Later, Michael becomes close friends with the ghost of Ben Franklin and the cyborg Agent Preston.
Creation
Michael the Necromancer was created by Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan, & Tony Moore in their Marvel NOW! Deadpool series. He made his first appearance in Deadpool #1.
Powers & Abilities
As Necromancer, he uses magic spells to bring back the undead. He has learned a limited types of magic growing up and did not have any proper training into being a "spellcasting sorcerer" as he is depicted today.
