History:
Ernst Whythim was the descendent of the line of Black Knights begun by Sir Percy of Scandia in the Middle Ages and wielder of the Ebony Blade. Ernst first drew the sword in the name of justice, but before long succumbed to the blood curse. Over time, he slew 10 thousand people with the sword. Finally, ashamed of what he was, he killed himself with the Ebony Blade.
In an attempt to help Dane Whitman understand the Ebony Blade, Dr. Druid made psychic contact with the blade. Unfortunately, he was then possessed by the spirit of Ernst, who transformed Dr. Druid's body into a replica of himself. When Ernst found himself before Dane, he soon realized that he was face-to-face with one of his ancestors. He stole the Ebony Blade away from Dane and attacked him, hoping to erase his timeline by bringing an end to their family tree. Despite his wielding the blade with the full fury of his blood craze, Ernst was disarmed by Dane, and Dane defeated him in hand-to-hand combat. When Ernst went unconscious, his form reverted to that of Dr. Druid.

Skills:
Ernst wore sophisticated body armor composed of metals from his alternate future, and carried a dagger. In his own timeframe, he wielded the Ebony Blade, the legendary sword of Camelot which can cut through any substance, and teleport to its owner's hand through the mystical connection between the wielder and the weapon.
