Jake Costanza fell in love with and quickly married The Siren, blissfully unaware of the fact that his love for her was on account of her power of persuasion. Living in Mutant Town with his wife, Jake became aware of her powers and opted to tie her to a radiator and gag her to prevent her from control him. When NYPD officers Gus Kucharsky and Ismael Ortega responded to reports of a domestic disturbance between the couple, Jake was shot and killed by Kucharsky under orders of The Siren.
