Origin

The son of the Gargoyle, the Gremlin is a mutant with super intelligence. At some point in time he designed the second Titanium Man battle armor.

Creation

Gremlin was created by Len Wein and Herb Trimpe and first appeared in The Incredible Hulk comics.

Major Story Arcs

He first aided the Soviet Super Soldiers (now known as the Winter Guard) in trying to apprehend Magneto for crimes against Russia. During one their final attempt to capture Magneto the Titanium Man armor was damaged by Wolverine who stabbed the armor just bellow the neck. He almost killed the Gremlin who resides int the chest compartment due to his small size.

The Gremlin then rebuilt his Titanium Man with parts provided by the Soviet government. This made him a target for Tony Stark who discovered that his technology was used in a recent upgrade to the Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo. Unknown to the Titanium Man he was being set up by the Russian Leaders to discredit Iron Man. Had one or the other survived the encounter Crimson Dynamo was ordered to kill the survivor. Despite the Gremlin having a state of the art defense gird Stark easily evaded it in his Stealth Armor. Unfortunately this armor was only armed with three dual repulsor blasts, one he wasted on the Gremlin as he did not manage to stop him from getting into the armor due to the arrival of the Crimson Dynamo. The Dynamo set off the defense grid and was brought down. Stark used his second repulsor blast on him and then succeeded in negating the Dynamo's armor. However after Stark used his third and final repulsor blast he did not count on the Titanium Man's quick recover and he smashed the second and last negator pack. Stark now had no weapons and no negators and no options save running. Titanium Man caught Iron Man in a bear hug and Stark tried to use his boot jets to shake his opponent off in the air. Unfortunately the Gremlin was not paying attention and Stark ignited the Titanium Man's armor causing it to explode.

The armor was destroyed and the Gremlin was killed in the explosion. The Russian people labeled Stark a murderer for this action.

Powers and Abilities

Gremlin inherited his genius for his father. He was able to achieve degrees in different areas of science including the design of battle armor, strength-magnifying exoskeletons, computer technologies, and genetic engineering.

While wearing the Titanium Man suit, which he designed, he was able to obtain increased strength, high resistance to damage, flight, and the ability to use energy bolts was weapons.
