Dreamer gained her powers when she was caught in a flood of ionic energy that Wonder Man had inadvertently released when his powers flared out of control. She was only one of eight individuals that gained powers in this manner, including her mother, Alex Flores. All eight of these individuals would join forces and become the team known as The Crazy 8.

Limitation:
Dreamers powers are only active when she sleeps. When awake she is functionally powerless.
