Daniel Davis and his crew of thieves were stealing ancient relics from the Museum of Natural History with the help of Mr. Reynolds who had sabotaged the surveillance systems from the inside. Daniel Davis had in his possession the Macedonian Death-Mask for one of his exotic clients when his men killed Mr. Reynolds. Nightwatch appeared and took down Davis' men. Davis placed the Macedonian Death-Mask on and it started to bond with his face. The death mask started pumping long lost embalming fluid that contained arcane chemicals into Daniel's bloodstream. Daniel's bloodstream was coursing with arcane acids, he was granted unnatural strength and near invulnerability. Daniel became the deranged Deathgrin and went after Nightwatch. His burning touch caused Nightwatch pain and was able to break free from Nightwatch's cape as it wrapped him. Security guards appeared and fired several shots at Deathgrin but the bullets just bounced off his petrified skin. Deathgrin smashed two support pillars during the chaos and was buried underneath the rubble. Deathgrin had burned his way into the sewer system and escaped. Nightwatch tracked down Deathgrin in the sewer system and engaged his enemy one last time. Deathgrin was defeated when Nightwatch wrapped up his arms with his cloak and knocks him out with a powerful uppercut. Deathgrin was taken to the surface and placed in special hyper-cuffs until Code Blue would arrive.

Powers & Abilities

Deathgrin's powers stemmed from an ancient Macedonian Mask of Death he had stolen from a museum. The mask made his blood acidic resulting in a burning touch, gave him stone-like skin and enhanced strength.
