Brother Deep was one of the children of the Mother of Horrors, made specifically in mockery of the One Above All. He was made to serve Earth, which was a land hidden from the One Above All by the Mother of Horrors, so that she could create life without his interference, just as she created herself without his help. When One Above All finally discovered them, he punished Brother Deep, blinding him, breaking his many hands, ripping off his wings, and flaying him of his golden scales before driving him into the dirt of Earth, thus trapping him under a mountain.
