Achak was the son of Mato and Waya. They moved to New Atlantis and his parents were builders. Achak had other ambitions, he wanted to be a mechanist and invent. His father did not aprove of this, but his mother supported his desire. when he had revieled his latest invention, a device that would detect posions in the water, his mother was impressed. The device even caught Namor's attention as he was traveling by. Namor told the young boy tht when the device was completely finished, that he would like to see it. Achak was in awe. As Namor swam off, Achak watched holding the device as his parents went back to work on building their house.  
  
When the Aqueos attacked New Atlantis, Achak was amoung the deceased. It was Namor who discovered their bodies under rubble, Achak still holding the device in hs hand. Namor seemed greatly saddened at the death of the young Atlantean.
