Origin
The Crooked Man is a character from an old 1840's english nursery rhyme. The original version goes like this:
"There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
and they all lived together in a little crooked house."
Creation
The nursery rhyme was written by James Orchard Halliwell and was first published in 1842.
