The chief plays a supporting role in the Mickey Mouse's mystery comics. He is known to rely on Mickey's help to villainous characters like Pete, Phantom Blot and etc. O'Hara has an often speculated 'stereotypical' Irish background. He first appeared in the serial Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot.
He made a short cameo in the Who Framed Roger Rabbit comic book and sometimes appeared in House of Mouse and Mickey's House of Villains. He was voiced by Corey Burton.
