Neol is the commander of the Atlantean military forces bearing the title of High Lord of the Armies and a member of the Atlantean council. He serves king Aquaman. He is a tall and powerfully built Atlantean with grey hair, suggesting he is older than Aquaman.
He led a mission searching for Aquaman and Mera in the pocket dimension of Pacifica and also accompanied Aquaman against a threat related to Swamp Thing.
Currently he is in Atlantis, serving in Aquaman's council.
Creation
Neol was created by Aquaman writer Jeff Parker and artist Paul Pelletier. He made his debut in Aquaman #26.
