Origin
Kelie Quintela was born in La Paz, Bolivia. While at a junkyard searching for something with a boy named Marcos, Keli witnesses a man kill an alien. She later returns to the junkyard alone and finds Lorl, the alien, and he gives her a device that allows her to access the Green Lantern Power Battery. Lorl then dies and Keli is alone again in the junkyard. She modified and hacked the device to act more like a Green Lantern Ring. She then moves to Metropolis to become a superhero.
Creation
Kelie Quintela was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Patrick Gleason and first appeared in Young Justice #1 - Seven Crises.

Keli went to Metropolis to get an internship at the Hall of Justice, but while their warriors from Gemworld attack, looking for Superman. Soon Robin, Wonder Girl, Impulse and Jinny Hex are all fighting the warriors. When Keli steps in as Teen Lantern, she saves Wonder Girl with a giant baseball mitt. Now as a full team, Teen Lantern becomes part of Young Justice.
As the team fight the warriors and push them back to the portal to Gemworld, something happens, and they too are sucked through the portal. Teen Lantern awakens in the Forest of Topaz, with Jinny. The pair are soon joined by the rest of Young Justice, but they are quickly attacked by Lord Opal, and put in prison.
While in the prison pits, the team learns that Keli is a 11-year-old girl with no official Green Lantern training, and this causes some tension over her young age. But when Superboy breaks the team out, this is quickly forgot when Teen Lantern, joins the team in attacking Lord Opal, and saving Gemworld. Then the Counsil of Gemworld offers to send Young Justice home with their newest member Amethyst but betray the team and send them into the Multiverse.

Keli and Young Justice are then bounced around the Mulitverse. They go to Earth-42 and Earth-26 where they meet the Zoo Crew. Then they arrive on Earth-22 where Teen Lantern meets Kingdom Come Green Lantern, who warns her to to be careful with the stolen Green Lantern tech. Finally Young Justice is sent to Earth-3. There young Justice meets evil versions of themselves. Teen Lantern fights Hack, the evil version of herself. With the help of Earth-3 Batwoman, Young justice beats their doppelgangers and teleport home.
Once home, Young Justice need to defeat Dr. Glory, who kidnapped Superboy and has been corrupting S.T.A.R. Labs. This causes Young Justice to call on more teen heroes, such as Wonder Twins, Naomi and Dial H for Hero.

Over the next few weeks, Teen Lantern helped Young Justice and the Justice League clean up after Metropolis Doom!. There she briefly meet with John Stewart who seemed worried about Keli hacked Green Lantern Tech. Teen Lantern also responded to Drake, call to action to help Spoiler take down Cluemaster. Lastly, Teen Titan was there to help Wonder Girl defeat Poseidon and take her proper place in the Patheon.

When Young Justice take control of their new Head Quarters, Teen Lantern is there, and when they find a Red Tornado in a status field, Keli fan girls about how much she loves the andriod. Then when Red Tornado malfuncions and attack the team, Teen Lantern is the last one standing. SHe is able to over power the android but when it appears like she can relax, Joh Stewart shows up. He demands the Green Lantern Hack, to which Keli refuses.
It looks like John is going to take the hack by force but the rest of Young Justice stands by Teen Lantern's side and the hero is forced back down, but demands that Keli go the Hall of Justice ASAP for training, something Keli wanted to do anyway.
